Suitable for students who wish to prepare for the International English Language Testing System and already have FCE or equivalent qualification.
What can students expect?
This course will extend your grammar and vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading and writing skills to help you prepare for the IELTS examination. Bromley Adult Education college is not an IELTS test centre and candidates should make their own arrangements for examination entry with an approved IELTS test centre.
Late starters allowed?
Yes, subject to tutor's approval.
External qualification?
Students wishing to gain the qualification can do so by making their own arrangements with an approved IELTS test centre.
Previous experience required?
FCE or equivalent.
What is the progression route?
EFL Certificate in Proficiency in English
Are there any extra costs?
Costs of the course book and additional material are included in the course fee.
Are there any set books?
Tutor will advise during the first week of course.
Work set between sessions?
Yes, you should make time each week to do some homework , practising and revising the content of the lessons.
What should students bring?
Paper, pen or pencil.
Teaching method/style?
Practical, communicative activities, with the emphasis on developing all language skills; including questions and answer, pair and small group practice, whole class work, with recordings and visuals, notices and short passages.
