This course will cover starters/lunches, main courses and desserts which are suitable for the family and informal entertaining. An ingredients/small equipment will be sent out before the first session.

Literacy, Language and Numeracy skills required
You will need to be able to complete simple calculations, measure ingredients and be able to understand both written and oral information and instructions in English. Tutor will explain any specialist terms used.
This course is suitable for beginners and those with some knowledge of cooking.
There is ongoing assessment throughout the course by observation and questions and answers. Your tutor will give you regular feedback on your progress throughout the course.

The cost of ingredients is not included in the course fee. You will be expected to provide your own ingredients.

In order to fully benefit from this course, it is advisable to practise the skills learnt between sessions.
There is an ingredients / small equipment list for this course. It will be posted out approximately one week before the course start date. If you do not receive the list, please contact the College on 020 8460 0020 for further information. Please bring all items on the list, an apron, a small, sharp knife and containers to take your food home in.
