Description

What can students expect?

Improve your culinary skills and techniques using modern recipes to produce delicious meals for family and friends.

Yes, with the agreement of the tutor

Literacy, Language and Numeracy skills required

You will need to be able to complete simple calculations, measure ingredients and be able to understand both written and oral information and instructions in English. Tutor will explain any specialist terms used.

Entry Requirements

This course is suitable for beginners and those with some knowledge of cooking.

Assessment Method

There is ongoing assessment throughout the course by observation and questions and answers. Your tutor will give you regular feedback on your progress throughout the course.

In order to fully benefit from this course, it is advisable to practise the skills learnt between sessions.

Equipment Required

There is an ingredients / small equipment list for this course. It will be posted out approximately one week before the course start date. If you do not receive the list, please contact the College on 020 8460 0020 for further information. Please bring all items on the list, an apron, a small, sharp knife and containers to take your food home in.

This is a practical course with demonstration, questions and answers, 1-1 tutorials and handouts.
