Description

Create and design beautiful floral designs using seasonal spring flowers. You will learn how to design and create five different items on this course: a hand tied bouquet, wicker door wreath, front facing symmetrical design, vase display and spring basket. Flowers and equipment are not included on this course. You will need to provide your materials at a weekly cost of approximately £15. A requirements list will be sent prior to the start of the course.

What can students expect?

Make a range of traditional and contemporary flower arrangements reflecting the seasons and festivals. You will learn how to arrange flowers and foliageís in floral foam, attach decorations, how to design shapes using floral materials. Understand floristry terms and techniques.

Literacy, Language and Numeracy skills required

You will need to be able to understand both verbal and written instructions and information in English and complete basic calculations. The tutor will explain any specialist terms used.

Scissors and plastic table cloth. Cellophane , foliage such as, grasses 3 x aspidistra leaves 15 x stems of tulips, ribbon, sellotape
