Description

Perfect for beginners, those who are interested in wedding flowers to make for yourself, or as a hobby. This course will help you learn all the skills required to design wedding flowers or just for fun. We will cover all areas of design including wired buttonholes, wedding bouquets, and table display. Flowers are not included and you will need to provide your materials at a weekly cost of approximately £15. A requirements list will be sent prior to the start of the course

What can students expect?

You will learn how to arrange flowers and foliageís in floral foam, attach decorations, how to design shapes using floral materials. Understand floristry terms and techniques.

Literacy, Language and Numeracy skills required

You will need to be able to understand both written and verbal instructions and information in English and be able to measure and complete simple calculations. The tutor will explain any specialist terms used.

Assessment Method

There will be ongoing assessment throughout the course by observation and questioning and answers. Your tutor will give you regular feedback throughout the course.

None. However, an interest in floristry and floral design will be useful

Equipment Required

Scissors and plastic table cloth. 1 x rose 1x carnation 1x gyp ivy leaves spray carnation, green .71 gauge wires, silver wedding wire, gutta/parafilm stem tape

A practical, workshop style course with a mix of demonstration, 1-1 tutorials, observation and questions and answers.
