Description

For those who enjoyed the beginners course and wish to progress further. You will learn new dance figures as well as practising and consolidating those learned in the earlier course. You should already know the basic steps of the four Ballroom and Latin American dances. Partner preferable. This course is not suitable for complete beginners.

What can students expect?

Dance an amalgamation of steps in Social Foxtrot, Quickstep, Waltz, Tango, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive and Samba, develop floor craft and etiquette, social skills on the dance floor.

Late starters allowed?

Yes, with the agreement of the tutor.

Literacy, Language and Numeracy skills required

You will need to be able to understand both written and verbal instructions and information in English and to be able to count up to 50. Any specialist terms used will be explained by the tutor.

Yes, you will need to have a knowledge of the courses outlined above. This course is not suitable for complete beginners.

Assessment Method

There will be regular assessment by observation and questions and answers throughout the course. Your tutor will also give you feedback on your progress.

This is a practical course, with a mixture of demonstration, exercises, questions and answers and one to one tuition.
