What the course is about

Develop your existing vocabulary and improve your ability to communicate effectively in conversation. You will consolidate your understanding of the Spanish culture and vocabulary and increase your ability to speak and understand the language.

The topics covered may include:

• Talking about your house and home
• Talking about a town or region
• Tenses, grammar and verbs
• Shopping, weights and measures
• Finding and booking accommodation

You will develop your language skills, which will boost your confidence if travelling abroad. Some of the skills you gain on this course could help increase your opportunities for employment or working within the community.

Learning takes place in a friendly classroom setting, which is a great place for social interaction and helping you meet new people.

Practice at home is advisable to enhance your learning experience.

This course is subsidised by Government funding so you should aim to attend the whole course.

Your tutor will work with you to develop an Individual Learning Plan and review your progress against this throughout the length of the course.

There is no qualification or examination attached to this course.

Who the course is for / Previous experience, knowledge or qualifications

You will have completed a beginners - Step 1 course (or equivalent) and have a basic knowledge of the subject.

You will need a notebook and pen.

After completing Beginners - Step 2, you will have gained enough basic knowledge to enable you to continue learning at Beginners - Step 3.
