Description

A friendly and supportive class for intermediate acrylic painters who want to learn new skills and techniques. This course will be delivered at Stoke Lodge but will move online if necessary using ZOOM and WhatsApp.

What can students expect?

Freedom to explore the potential of Acrylic paint, mediums and additives. You will be
encouraged to discuss your personal interests and aspirations with the tutor and other
students, and explore all possibilities and ideas. Risk taking will be actively encouraged!
This course will be delivered at Stoke Lodge but will move online if necessary using ZOOM and WhatsApp.

Late starters allowed?

Yes, but this is a short course, so it is best to join by week 2.

Previous experience required?

Yes. The course is aimed at those with some experience of Acrylic paint who feel ready to loosen up and explore a little further.

What should students bring?

• Paint-a selection of colours including yellows, reds and blues, plus white.
• Brushes/knives/paint shapers
• Mediums for example

• Paper towel
• Masking tape
• An apron or old shirt to protect your clothes
• Paper clips or bulldog clips

Stable internet connection, a PC or tablet and ability to use ZOOM if course moves online.

Teaching method/style?

By doing, watching, reading and talking to others. You will be encouraged to have an idea and explore ways of making it happen. An iPad is great if you have one - you can create albums of other artists work that you admire and collect images from the internet
