Description

Spend the day watching the tutor prepare a wide selection of delicious traditional Italian dishes, which may include antipasti, fresh pasta, risotto, main courses and desserts. You will sample all the dishes for lunch, accompanied by a glass of wine.

What can students expect?

To learn how to cook a series of traditional Italian recipes, sometimes including fresh pasta, and enjoying tasting all the dishes cooked on the day.
Please note that recipes may include use of nuts or dairy produce or ingredients containing gluten, and therefore please advise the admin office at the point of enrolment, and the tutor at the start of the session, if you are allergic to any ingredients.

What is the progression route?

Coming to another Italian cookery course, because generally the tutor cooks different dishes each time.

Are there any extra costs?

Yes, there is an additional ingredients cost, usually between 5 - 7, payable to the tutor on the day.

Teaching method/style?

The tutors will demonstrate the different cooking methods as appropriate, eg. cutting techniques, pasta dough and pizza making, offering tips and suggestions. Learners will be observing the demonstration and asking questions if they wish.
Learners will be given printed recipes to keep so that they will be able to recreate the dishes at home by following clear and simple instructions and a list of ingredients.
The course is also a great chance to socialise and exchange recipe ideas and skills
