What can students expect?

An opportunity to delve into the most important European art movement between the two world wars. We will focus on the most famous Surrealists based in Paris and Brussels: Joan Miro, Salvador Dali and René Magritte and also the British Surrealist movement.

What should students bring?

No materials needed. A handout will be given to each learner for every topic. Those learners who like to take additional notes should bring writing materials.

Teaching method/style?

Informal. Combination of looking at images, listening and discussion. Sessions include both whole group discussion and learners working in pairs/small groups
