Aurore est séparée, perd son emploi, va être grand-mère et se sent poussée vers la sortie. Elle entre en résistance, avec joie et force. Un film solaire et réjouissant.

What can students expect?

To watch recent French or French speaking films with French subtitles.
French films in cinemas or on TV are shown with English subtitles, so this is an opportunity for people who speak French or are learning French to “see” what they “hear” and often find it a useful experience.
The choosen films may not have been widely shown in Britain but seem interesting and the selection is quite varied.

Previous experience required?

Yes, good knowledge of French is necessary to enjoy the films.

What is the progression route?

Watch more films in the programme. Expand through reading with the French Book Club or joining an advanced conversation class at Stoke Lodge.

Are there any extra costs?

Teaching method/style?

Session starts with tutor-prepared notes on the director, the actors and the context.
After the showing, the participants discuss the film.
