Description

Learn to edit and manipulate photographs to enhance their appearance using a range of free online software. Photoshop Elements is available if preferred.

What can students expect?

Learn the basics of how to edit photographs using a range of free software. Photoshop elements is available if preferred:
Explore various free photo editing software and Photoshop Elements
Navigate the screen layout
Use various tools to enhance an image
Save an edited image in the required size and resolution
Remove small blemishes and dust
Apply effects and filters
Add text or watermark
Add borders and shapes
Restore old photos
Create an artistic collage

Late starters allowed?

Late starters are allowed but for maximum benefit full attendance is required.

Previous experience required?

Suitable for those new to photo editing or wanting to refresh their skills. You must be able to use a mouse and keyboard.

What is the progression route?

We offer a range of other computer courses you may like to join.

Are there any extra costs?

No

Work set between sessions?

There will be no work set between sessions, but learners are encouraged to practice at home
what they have learnt during the sessions.

What should students bring?

A USB memory stick will be useful to save your work
You may like to bring a pen and notebook.

Teaching method/style?

This is a practical course and sessions include tutor-led demonstrations with plenty of learner activities to practice skills.
