Learn some basic Italian for your next holiday in Italy! This course is for total beginners.

What can students expect?

Basic Tourist Communication, to gain some practical “survival” knowledge needed in holiday situations, such as greetings, buy and order food and drinks, give and request personal info, places to visit…

For anyone who knows no Italian but is going on holiday to Italy soon, and would like to be able to communicate at a basic tourist level.

Late starters allowed?

No, as this course is aimed at total beginners.

No

What is the progression route?

Join Italian level 1 A, Term 1

Work set between sessions?

For their benefit, learners are encouraged to practice some activities during the sessions.

What should students bring?

Pen and paper
A packed lunch if it is a Saturday course.

Teaching method/style?

Presentation by tutor, then repetitions, drills, mini-dialogues, simulations, role play, … etc in pair work, small group and whole class work.
