A week long Summer School suitable for beginners and improvers. Beginners will be taken step by step through the whole making process to create a simple leaded stained glass panel. Those with some experience can develop their skills, try new techniques and work on their own project. Join us for a week of fun and intensive study.

What is the progression route?
After this course you can join the regular Wednesday afternoon class to progress your skills and learn new techniques or you can enrol on a Saturday one day Copperfoil course and learn the copper foil (Tiffany style) technique of stained glass.
Are there any extra costs?
YES – your fee includes classroom sundries; additionally, you will need to purchase coloured glass, lead and solder either from the tutor or from a local supplier. You can discuss this with the tutor before the start of the course.
Work set between sessions?
No but you may choose to continue to develop your design at home or make a trip to the local stained glass suppliers.
What should students bring?
Sturdy foot wear, an apron, a note book, Lunch and refreshments. Please bring 2 or 3 different design ideas - these can be in form of doodles, sketches, photographs, pictures from books or magazines. These will act as inspiration and a starting point to for you develop an original design idea to make your stained glass panel.
Demonstrations and one to one support
Tools and equipment are available for your use during the course. You will need to purchase coloured glass, lead and solder for your project which is available for purchase from your tutor or from a local supplier.
