A one-day course run in partnership with LBB Road Safety Team that will teach you the basics of how to look after your bike. Bring your own bike and receive expert advice on how to adjust and maintain it. Please see LBB course guidelines online www.baec.ac.uk
What can students expect?
The course will cover: Brake and gear adjustment. Emergency / on road repairs. Pre and post ride checks. Routine maintenance and wear recognition. Tool and lubricant overview. Puncture repair and prevention.

Whilst the London Borough of Bromley (the Council) is responsible for the safe running of the course, it is not responsible for any injury or loss or damage to any property, unless such injury or loss or damage arises as a result of a negligent act or omission of the Council. The trainee accepts that the Council is not liable for any injury or loss or damage to any property during the course.
The Council takes no responsibility whatsoever for any injury or any loss or damage to any property which occurs either on the way to or from a workshop course or subsequent to a workshop course. The trainee accepts that the Council is not liable for any injury or loss or damage to any property prior or subsequent to the course.
The trainee consents to adjustments being made to his/her bicycle by the Instructor(s) and he/she understands that Instructors are not obliged to carry out repairs to make an unroadworthy bicycle, roadworthy.
The trainee agrees to make the Instructor(s) aware of any ongoing medical condition he/she has prior to the course which may adversely affect training.
The trainee understands that occasionally it may be necessary to take images of those undertaking training and that these may be used for publicity purposes. The trainee agrees for the Council to use photographs or video footage taken of him/her and that such material and copyright belongs to the Council.

Literacy, Language and Numeracy skills required
You will need to be able to understand both written and oral information and instructions in English. The tutor will explain any specialist terms used.
