This course is suitable for those who have attended a beginners' course. This course is not suitable for complete beginners.
What can students expect?
To understand the principles of Pilates. Concentration, alignment, breathing, centring, relaxation, coordination, flowing movements and stamina. Improve core stability to achieve exercises with greater body awareness.
Late starters allowed?
Yes, for the first two weeks only and only if you have either completed a beginners course at BAEC or elsewhere. This course is not suitable for complete beginners.
Literacy, Language and Numeracy skills required
You will need to be able to understand both written and verbal instructions and information in English and be able to count to 20. The tutor will explain any specialist terms used.

There will be ongoing assessment by the tutor throughout the course and you will receive regular feedback on your progress.

Previous experience required?
Yes, you need to have completed either a BAEC or alternative beginners Pilates course. Please note this course is not suitable for complete beginners.
What is the progression route?
To Stage 3 courses at BAEC and at other providers.
Are there any extra costs?
Are there any set books?
No, but the tutor can advise if you wish to purchase a book or DVD.
Work set between sessions?
In order to fully benefit from this course, it is advisable to practise the skills learnt between sessions.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing, socks, mat or pillow for comfort optional. You may like to bring a small bottle of water.
There is a mixture of demonstration, group work, 1 to 1 tuition and questions and answers.
