The course covers three key components: Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><strong><span style="font-size:12.0pt"> By the end of the course the learners will be able to: </span></strong></span></span><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Aptos&#34;,sans-serif">Read and understand a variety of texts. </span></span></span></span><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Aptos&#34;,sans-serif">Write clearly, coherently and accurately for different purposes. </span></span></span></span><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Aptos&#34;,sans-serif">Communicate effectively through speaking and listening</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Aptos&#34;,sans-serif">Reading: develop critical reading skills and comprehension of various text types. </span></span></span></span><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Aptos&#34;,sans-serif">Writing: improve writing skills for various purposes and audiences. </span></span></span></span><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Aptos&#34;,sans-serif">Speaking and Listening: enhance verbal communication skills in various situations.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Aptos&#34;,sans-serif">Learners must pass all three components in an exam to achieve the full qualification: Reading exam, Writing, and, Speaking and Listening.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">To be entered into examinations, the following criteria must be met: </span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Consistently and independently producing work at Level 1 or Level 2 for reading, writing and speaking & listening, </span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Calibri&#34;,sans-serif">Learners <strong>must</strong> pass a mock exam.</span></span></p>

<p><strong>Availability:</strong> September 2024, January 2025 and May 2025</p>

<p><strong>Assessment</strong>: you will be invited to an assessment day to assess you suitability for this course.</p>
