Beginners pottery course for individuals with learning difficulties is a bundle of 8 weeks pottery sessions for individuals with special needs/physical disabilities. Classes are geared and designed to improve the health and physical & mental wellbeing of the students.

What the course is about

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif"><span style="color:black">- In this 8-week class students will explore the characteristics of clay by making and decorating their own sushi/nibble set, a set of candle holder or soap dish, focusing on a more personal project towards the end of the course.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif"><span style="color:black">- During the first part of the course the students will be introduced to coiling, slab building, pinching, and decorating the created piece with coloured glazes. During the last three classes of the course students will develop a personal project.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif"><span style="color:black">- All materials, tools necessary and firing are provided at no extra cost.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif"><span style="color:black">- We aim for each student to have 4 - 5 finished and functional projects of handmade ceramics by the end of the 8th week. </span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif"><span style="color:black">- The final pieces will be fired and ready to collect within 4 - 6 weeks. Uncollected objects will be repurposed by the studio if not collected within the given time.</span></span></span></p>

Materials you need to bring

At the end of the course
