What the course is about
On this 4 week course you will learn:
- the essentials of plant-based nutrition (macro- & micro-nutrients) and why plant foods are such a vital part of a healthy diet & lifestyle;
-. tasty ways to increase fibre intake;
- ways to replicate animal-based foods (taste & texture) but using only plant-based ingredients;
- several healthy plant-based recipes.
You’ll be asked to carry out cookery tasks at your own home each week between course sessions.
Previous experience, knowledge or qualifications
You simply need a keen interest to learn about healthy plant-based eating, and try your best to carry out the cookery tasks set during each session of the course
Materials required
To get the most from this course, participants should carry out the cookery assignments, in which case they would need access to a standard simple home kitchen, with the standard equipment, and would also need to purchase ingredients if they don’t have them already.

At the end of the course
Learners will have an improved understanding of what constitutes a plant based diet and know how to replace animal based products with tasty and nutritious alternatives.
Next Step
Learners will be able to continue to support their learning by enrolling onto courses to increase their skills in the workplace, take a functional skills assessment to gain further qualifications in Maths, English and ICT or enjoy one of the arts & crafts, practical skills or movement, health and well-being courses and workshops either for themselves or together with their children.

A devise which support Zoom applications with a microphone and camera, plus paper and pen to make notes.
