Approaches to Oil PaintingThe course will encourage you to examine the possible influences in style and techniques of artists old and new on contemporary art. The aim of the course will be for you to improve painting techniques and the confidence to select the valid techniques.
Botanic Drawing and Painting - (Intermediate)Working from plants and flowers and other natural organic forms you will be introduced to a discipline of careful observational drawing and painting. You will explore working with form, line, tone, texture and colour as well as composition using pencil (beginners) and water colours (all others).
Botanic Drawing and Painting - BeginnersThis is a course in Botanical Illustration is for the beginner to intermediate Botanical illustrator and continuing students of botanical art and illustration.
Botanical Drawings and Illustration (Absolute Beginners)For absolute beginners, the course will start with basic principles of drawing using graphite pencils. It will be the foundation for when we move on to pen and ink and then to water colour painting.
Draw and Paint with Mixed Media - All LevelsThe course aims to explore drawing and painting media in depth; beginning with drawing techniques using pencil and charcoal to explore line, tone and structure then introducing colour and further mark making techniques with pastels, watercolour, gouache, ink and wash.

Drawing and Watercolour Painting: Flora, Fauna and Natural Forms - All LevelsBotanical drawing and painting are a creative art form and a means of recording natural structures. Working from plants and flowers you will be introduced to observational painting and drawing of natural forms.
Drawing into Watercolour and GouacheThis course aims to develop your drawing abilities further, which in turn will underpin both your painting in watercolour and gouache.
Experimental Art and Media (Intermediate to Advanced)This course has two aims. The first is to give you the knowledge and confidence to work with a range of different core materials – not only in drawing and painting, but also in experimental techniques including collage, mixed media, photography, printmaking and film.
