Fees and concessions

The total charge is £465. The full (undiscounted) tuition fee for this course is £418, the concession rate is Free. This course also has a charge of £47 for exam fees. Please note that concession rates are subject to proof of eligibility.

Course details

Get Ready for Administration is an Entry Level course. It covers an introduction to what working in Administration is all about, how to act in an office environment and using ICT in the office. This is a year-long course, and you will be required to attend one session each week. 100% attendance is required on the course.

Course requirements

Entry to this course will be by informal interview with the course teacher and a Skills Check to assess your current English and Maths skills. You do not require any experience in business administration to be accepted onto the course. If you do not have an English qualification, we will encourage you to develop your skills by enrolling on an English course. This will support your achievement and your opportunity to progress onto level 1 courses or employment.

What are the benefits of this course?

This course aims to help you gain the knowledge and skills which you will be able to use in any administrative job role. It will help you decide whether working in an office environment is right for you and will help you identify other skills which you will need to develop to be successful in gaining employment.

How will I learn?

Classes will include a variety of activities such as taught sessions, role play, discussions, group, individual assignments and at least 25% of your course will be remote learning that will involve you carrying out activities outside of the classroom. You will be expected to attend all planned sessions. Your teacher will be on hand to support you and give feedback throughout the course.

How will my progress be monitored and assessed?

There are a variety of assessment activities during this programme,and you will produce a portfolio of written work as well being observed completing practical tasks. You will be given target dates for each assessment to help you progress and achieve your qualification. Regular feedback and reviews will ensure you can identify what you have achieved and what you still need to do. You will be able to record your progress and achievements in your Individual Learning Plan.

Your assessment fees are included in the advertised course fee and there are no additional costs. If you attend regularly with commitment you may achieve:

What will I be able to do after this course?

Following this course, you may like to progress onto the Preparing to Work in Business Administration Level 1, this depends on your previous qualification achievement. This course will help you develop valuable skills which employers will appreciate for job roles that work with the public. It is also important to continue to develop your communication and number skills if you are looking for employment in this sector so you may like to consider enrolling on one of our English and maths course.
